Laurel Burton, Traffic & Production Manager
Laurel has many whips to crack at The Shop… and she does it with a smile and serious efficiency. She interfaces with vendors, manages budgets and sees to it that jobs flow smoothly through both the account and creative departments to ensure all client deadlines and expectations are met. If you looked up multi-tasking in Wikipedia, you’d likely find her photo.
Georell Bracelin, Account Director
A true marketing strategist, Georell collaborates with clients to create and manage marketing campaigns that generate and increase visibility, credibility and esteem. All with what seems like superhuman powers… much like Superman, her moniker’s namesake. So it’s no surprise she’s managed a slew of local, national and international accounts—from Sprite to ESPN to Tony Roma to Morrow Snowboards (and many more!).
Ryan Crotty, Design Director
Another East Coaster, Ryan came to The Shop via The Big Apple, where he worked on national brands like Hennessey, Ricoh, Hasbro and Sag Harbor. Equipped with a bachelor’s degree in illustration and a master’s in graphic design, Ryan’s a force to be reckoned with in the design world. With his stable of bikes and battery of snowboarding gear, he’s a dominant contender on the mountains as well.
Heidi Hiaasen, Account Manager
Heidi manages account projects, media placement, public relations and keeps clients informed and happy. Given that she produced and managed public information for the Oregon Department of Transportation AND worked as a features reporter at the daily newspaper AND launched an entertainment weekly, it’s no surprise she’s gifted at everything she does.
Lori Nelander, Production Artist
With an eagle eye for detail and a drive for perfection, Lori makes sure all the “i’s” are dotted and the “t’s” are crossed. Along the organized path of her career, Lori has worked for ad agencies in Colorado, a magazine and a brewery in Idaho and a newspaper in Oregon. At The Shop, she works meticulously on any number of projects, from print ads to websites to direct mail.
Elicia Putnam, Principal & Wordsmith
The Shop’s founder, Elicia is a copywriter and brand development expert. Once a horse trainer, now a grammar fanatic, Elicia has a zest for words and a passion for solving marketing challenges. Elicia began her adventures in the advertising world as a freelance copywriter. Responding to the need for a different type of agency, she soon launched The Shop in 2001 and built a team of creative folks around her.
Tim Scott, Creative Director
Tim’s 15-year career has led him through many diverse marketing experiences that include traditional advertising, promotions, online and environmental design with the likes of Sony, Miller Brewing Co., AOL, The Discovery Channel, Nestlé, Energizer and many more. He is renowned for his ability to think beyond the constraints of traditional approaches… and for his crazy hair.
Mike Simmons, Advisor
Every company needs a Mike. The co-keeper of the bottom line, Mike is no stranger to the art of running a business. Just ask the farm dealerships in Eastern Washington who tried to compete with Mike’s powerhouse of a business he built from scratch. Once he reached the pinnacle of success, he cashed in, moved to Bend and entered the world of advertising. Now when he’s not counting dollars at The Shop, he’s counting vertical feet on the slopes of Mount Bachelor.
